Internet

In the spirit of the World Cup (which I am totally digging right now), I have posted an interesting infographic from VisualEconomics. This infographic details how the world spends time online and social networking data.

Since the image is too big to post here, I have provided a link to the infographic here. Enjoy!

Here it is, another installment of the Friday Link Session. Below you will find links to some of the content I found interesting this week. This should hold you over ’til Monday. Enjoy the weekend!

Here comes another one of my favorite videos. I love video, and I decided that if I don’t feel like writing a post every day I’m going to show some cool vids instead. You should like this one.

Last night I watched this epic interview from November on This Week in Startups (TWiST). It features Jason Calacanis and Gary Vaynerchuk. I’ve been on kind of a Gary V kick lately, not gonna lie. The guy knows his stuff and he’s constantly giving me ideas, which is what I hope will happen for you.

I posted this video so that it starts about 49 minutes in. I want you to watch about 5 minutes of it right now, but I think you should watch it in its entirety later on.

The part of the interview I want to showcase is how Gary talks about how far we’ve come in such a short period of time. He says that we don’t realize how lucky we are that we’re immersed in things like online video and Twitter because that puts us ahead of 99% of the people out there who haven’t gotten on-board, which means there’s some serious cash to be made.

What’d you think? Leave a comment for discussion.

I was reading a few social media blogs the other day and came across this awesome video. It provides some statistics on the number of people currently using the Internet, as well as using email and social networking sites.

This should help you understand the importance of developing a presence for your business online as well as marketing your brand and utilizing email marketing/social media to reach your audience. Get excited, because I will be focusing on these topics in the coming weeks!

What did you think of the current ‘state of the Internet’? Probably a little too much spam out there if you ask me, but as far as global reach is concerned, it’s pretty impressive how many people are contributing to the ‘web’.

Where do you think the Internet is headed? What does it mean for your business/brand? Let me know in the comment section below!
